Torah teachers welcome !
If you are Jewish and a accredited teacher of the Torah, regardless of denomination, you are most heartily welcome to join and participate as a teacher on this website.
As you can see from our home page, we strive to:
- honor the Sh'ma and the principle of ethical monotheism
- honor the trueness and sanctity of the Torah and the Sinai and Noachide eternal covenants
- repair the world and to be a enabler to Israel as a light to the nations
- fight antisemitism and all forms of discrimination
We welcome teachers from all Jewish denominations: Rabbis from Orthodox, to Liberal, teachers from Rabbinical to Karaite, from Judean to Samaritan. In spite of the differences in interpretation, and even differences in Scripture (Karaites not following the Oral Law, and Samaritans using a Pentateuch with variations from the Judean Pentateuch), let the Torah be the vehicle that shines to all of Jacob's offspring. If it is your duty to shine that light to the Goyim of the world, how much more so then to those who are Jacob's seed!
Our one cardinal rule is that we do not attempt to change a person's interpretation of the Torah regarding the definition of who is born a Jew; Rather, we honor each person's self-identification and seek to enable that person's fulfillment of how they identify. Therefore, please bear in mind that in providing your valuable expertise on the Torah you will be assisting people with Jewish ancestry who may self-identify differently than how your denomination defines them. If, and only if, this is not anathema to your principles to teach Torah, then we hope you will offer your knowledge of Torah to this community.
Shalom and Toda Rabbah,
The staff of the beta-gershom community site
